WSL has another great year!

The Wellspring School of Leadership is about to wrap up its third full year of operation and “graduate” its second class through the Advanced Program of two years. I am very proud of what the school has accomplished from its start-up just a very short time ago.

The WSL seeks to train and equip leaders for Kingdom ministry in both the church and the marketplace. The courses, while not purely academic, are rigorous and stretching for the students. Within them, there is always an eye toward application of Kingdom truth in the lives of the emerging leaders being trained. We have consistently received rave reviews from the students for how the school has enriched and equipped them for significant ministry and leadership.

The board of the school has done a great job in helping to launch and oversee the development of the program, especially Mark Johnson, Ed Tuttle and Nancy Riley who have served from the outset of the venture. Mike McKinniss, our Director of Education, has done a great job in coordinating all the classes, working with our faculty and shepherding the students through this journey. We recently met as a board to fine tune the second year program in order to make it even more effective. We also have a great faculty, mostly staffed from folks from Wellspring, with a few outside resources contributing as well.

As this school year winds down and summer begins, it is not too early to begin to think about whether or not the Wellspring School of Leadership should be in your plans for next fall. First year classes include “Spiritual Formation,” “Hearing God,” “Old Testament Survey,” “New Testament Survey,” “Christian Worldview,” and “The Art of Leadership I.” Each class is six weeks long and the six classes run consecutively.

On Sunday, June 9, we will be recognizing this year’s students and there will be more of an opportunity for you to learn more about WSL and how you can apply for next year’s classes. Or check out the website:
