Youth Ministry Announcement: Pastor Jenn’s transition back into Children’s Ministry
Last Sunday, May 22nd, we announced that Jenn Beglinger is leaving her position of Youth Pastor, but will continue on staff as the Children’s Pastor.
Pastor Kevin will oversee Youth Ministry in this time of transition. On Wednesday, June 1st, Pastor Kevin will host a Parents Meeting during Youth Group.
Both Pastor Kevin and Pastor Jenn met with the Students last Wednesday to let them know about this change. And Pastor Jenn wrote the following letter to the Parents of Student Ministries:
Dear Parents –
I write this to announce that I am leaving my position as the Youth Pastor, and will continue on staff as the Children’s Pastor.
God graciously led me and gave me His strength to oversee both ministries for this period of time. He also clearly showed me when this season was coming to an end by speaking through a dream, a word from David Wagner (a Prophet who is a friend of Wellspring), and support from staff leadership.
July 20th will be my last night at Youth Group. Pastor Kevin will oversee Youth Ministry in this time of transition. On Wednesday, June 1st, Pastor Kevin will host a Parents Meeting during Youth Group in the Sanctuary. Pastor Kevin has 14 years of Youth Ministry experience and loves working with teenagers. Pastor Kevin is working with the Elders to develop a vision for reaching and growing the next generation of Youth. You can hear more details about that at the June 1st meeting. Wellspring is committed to engaging the next generation in following Jesus. Please be praying for me, the Students, the Youth Leaders, Pastor Kevin and the Elders in this time of transition.
The past year and a half of serving the teens and families has been a God-led experience filled with growth and love, and I’m grateful for this time of being with these amazing young men and women who have become a tremendously important part of my life.
I’m incredibly thankful for the Youth Leaders! Words can’t express my appreciation for what they have meant to me, and for all that they have invested in the Students’ lives. And thanks to Chris Ann Tufts, our wonderful Children’s Ministry Administrative Assistant, for taking on more hours for Children’s Ministry during this time!
I love how God works! It has been a big load to oversee Youth and Children – but in my weakness and trust I saw God’s provision – and I’m in awe of His goodness and faithfulness. I believe God will continue to lead our Youth Ministry, and I’m excited for what is to come for our Students!
I also love that I’ve known the majority of our students since they were in middle school and even grade school! I have loved being a part of their lives and seeing their growth — physically, emotionally and spiritually. I will miss being with them, and will miss being the “Paparazzi to Wellspring Youth” (my Instagram tagline). And I’m thankful that this isn’t an actual “goodbye.”
Pastor Kevin and I are speaking with the Students about this tonight, and we wanted to make sure that Parents are also aware of this announcement at the same time.
Continuing to trust God’s leading and His great faithfulness for our Students.
With love and gratitude,
