Increasing Kingdom Impact
Why am I excited? Because there is a lot of uncertainty.
Some of you are now thinking, “What did you just say?!”
Like most of you, I don’t naturally like uncertainty. It shakes me up. It can make me a little (or often a lot) nervous, anxious and afraid. So why am I excited?
Well, when we face uncertainty it gives us an opportunity to focus on The One who doesn’t change. The One who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow: Jesus. Uncertainty makes us hold on to what we do know, what we are certain of. It makes us take stock of where we get our security, comfort, and direction. Life in this world is always uncertain. However, the Kingdom of God brings a focus and stability to the turmoil and tumult around us.
We need a greater awareness of God and His Kingdom in our life. We need to see His Kingdom manifest around us even in the uncertainty. I may not know what today, tomorrow, or the rest of 2017 will bring, but I do know that we need more of His Kingdom to invade Earth. I know that God is looking for people to partner with Him in bringing His Kingdom into greater reality in and through their hearts and lives. I know that God is a good king, a kind king, and He is looking to bring His unshakeable Kingdom into the uncertainty of our world.
That is why I feel it is important to start this year as a church with the “Increasing Kingdom Impact” series. For the next few weeks, we will be looking at several important ways we can experience His Kingdom in our hearts and the world around us. We will explore aspects of prayer, declaration, blessing, and prophecy and discuss practical ways we can see more of the supernatural fruit of God’s Kingdom.
Will you join me in praying and partnering with God to make 2017 a year where we see God do amazingly good things in our lives? Will you join Him in bringing His unshakeable Kingdom into the uncertainty around us? I pray you get excited about what God wants to do, about what could happen, about the lessons we will learn, and the God-stories that are unfolding all around us.
I am so excited about 2017!
