1 & 2 Thessalonians Class Recap

We heard you!  You responded to our Congregational Health Assessment by saying you wanted more Bible studies.  Wellspring answered with an additional opportunity to learn and grow.

We have just completed a five week series on 1 and 2 Thessalonians, complete with written notes, a map of Paul’s second missionary journey, and life application questions.  In addition, other passages were included to show how Scripture confirms itself and assists in understanding of the kingdom of God.

The key to these books includes the fact that Paul only had 3 weeks to visit these churches. The people of the church, however, were full of faith, perseverance, and love for one another.

To make up for the time lost with them, Paul writes instructions to them about how to live and thrive in the kingdom despite persecution, how to act like Christ, and how to expect the return of Christ.  The books are some of Paul’s earliest letters, complete with themes like faith, hope, and love that would be repeated in future letters to other churches.

If you missed the class and would like copies of the notes, please email lauriemccarty@wellspring.net to receive emailed copies of the notes.

Stay tuned for small groups restarting this fall, including the ten-week discipleship series, Rooted.  Click HERE if you’d like to join Rooted and you have not already signed up.
Thank you for being part of God’s amazing kingdom.
