Here are some of the things the elders have been working on:
Planning the Solemn assembly, set for May 31, with the staff.
Working with Pastor Steve and VCM on areas that need to be addressed:

Please remember to keep the elders and staff in prayer during this important season in Wellspring. We had to postpone Governance policy training with VCM due to illnesses. Thank You.
Suggested Reading Material from VitalChurch
Many people asked about the books that VitalChurch suggested that would be helpful in developing a strong church family. The list below are some of the suggested book titles that have been recommended pertaining to conflict and healthy communication. These books have not yet been read and discussed by the board but are some of the recommended materials that we intend to use to help the church move forward in a healthy direction.

Emergency Contact Information
In order to ensure that we are caring for the Wellspring community now that Pastor Rick has retired the Elder Board is establishing a team to handle emergency situations. The team will be Pastor John as first contact at 860-597-8030. Two elders will be on call as needed, they are Matthew McMahon at 301-452-2117 and Dawn Speer at 960-839-9763. Pastor Steve is supporting in an advisory capacity, but will not be a part of the team because it is not part of his job description as interim Pastor. If you have any questions feel free to contact one of us.

- Building communication with staff and with congregation

- Financial: church budget and cost of Pastor Position
