Preparing Our Hearts for Worship

As Pastor Steve has been preaching on the Acts 2 church, he has reminded us of what it means to prioritize our worship of the LORD. It matters to God when we put Him behind other things in our lives. We are called to put God first and to have hearts and minds that are focused on Him and open to His Holy Spirit. We want to be a church where the culture – everything we do – points us in the direction of worshipping the Lord. This means being intentional in the practical things - our service start time, when we encourage fellowship and have beverages available, how we encourage people to join in worship, and establishing the sanctuary as a sacred space. These are all important as is how we each, individually, prepare our hearts for worship. We will be introducing practical ways to help us along this path – stay tuned!
