Offering Update
The Lord's presence and the moving of Holy Spirit are high values here at Wellspring. Before anything else, we approach our Sunday worship gatherings intentionally, seeking to cultivate an environment where the Lord is not only pleased to dwell, but where He is welcomed to remain. We believe this is the Lord's response to our "Sacrifice of Praise" (Hebrews 13:15) and to our presenting ourselves as "living sacrifices" (Romans 12:1).
With this in mind, we are continually evaluating our worship services to identify ways we can create more room for God to move and reduce any unnecessary disruptions that may result from our structure. As part of this ongoing effort, we have decided to make a change in how we receive offerings on Sundays. Rather than having ushers be up front and inviting everyone to come forward and bring their offering at a specific moment in our service, we will place them on the altar steps and invite you to bring your tithes and offerings at any point during worship. The plates will remain there throughout the worship portion of the service and will be removed before we transition to the next segment. You may also continue giving online, or you may place your tithes and offerings in the mail slot located in the wall next to the main office entrance following the service.
I encourage all of us to remain open to what the Lord may desire to do through this change. We believe this adjustment is one way of creating additional space for the Leading of Holy Spirit in our Sunday Worship.
Blessings,
Pastor John
