Soon after I began working at Wellspring, the "Elevate" worship experience was developed. In its earliest form, it was designed as a program to appeal to a younger generation. What we found was when you host the presence of God, you attract all generations who are interested in experiencing what the presence of God can do.
Because we continue to ask God what he wants to do with Elevate, we have continued to adjust. Over the past three years, Elevate has adjusted its format to conform with what we believe God was directing us toward. Elevate continues to be a worship experience of music and prayer, of prophetic listening and healing, and of teaching and community.
We had Elevate services in October and November and on New Year’s Eve. All these services were worship experiences that hosted the presence of God and expanded the experience of those present with regard to what God was doing. In January, we hosted "Elevate Hartford" at South Church in Hartford. This was a worship experience that we took into the city of Hartford. We partnered with "The Hartford Project" and brought a worship experience to multiple churches and brought the presence of God to a city that needs it.
In February, we brought Elevate to Valley Community Baptist Church in Avon. In this situation, the worship experience of Elevate was brought to encourage their young adults and to expand and enhance their worship of God and their interaction with His presence. Also in February, we went to Lakeshore Baptist Church in New York to encourage a two-year-old church. The Elevate worship experience will continue to expand their desire to walk with God and to bring his presence to their city of Cicero, NY.
In March, Elevate Hope was a night of ministry with Steve Backlund. We used the Elevate worship experience to create the platform from which Steve ministered to all those in attendance.
An Elevate worship night will also be used in April during one of the nights that Bob Hazlett is here. Wellspring will be providing worship at every meeting during that weekend, but one of those nights will be an Elevate worship experience.
On May 19th, we will be hosting a half day seminar on Dream Interpretation facilitated by Lance Carter of Presence Ministry out of New Hampshire. That evening, we will host ‘Elevate Dreaming’ with the Presence Ministry team who will be available for ministry while we worship. The evening service is open to everyone.
Elevate may not have a regular night, or a regular place as it once did. Elevate still has its core purpose: a worship experience to enhance and interact with the presence of God. We hope to continue to expand where Elevate goes and how Elevate is used. Elevate is not for a specific demographic or a specific church. Elevate is a tool to be used in the stream of revival that God is bringing to our region.
