Prayer for the Nation
Thursdays 7pm in Room B5 (lower level) at Wellspring Church
This prayer time will continue beyond the election, as prayer for our nation is so critical right now.

A Note From Pastor Wesley:
The Lord instructs us to pray for our nation and our leaders. Prayer is never more fitting than in this unsettling season for America. Linda Guite and a few others have felt the Lord’s prompting to enter into prayer in a deliberate and committed fashion beyond the November elections.

We find it easy to comment, critique, and lament where we are as a nation. But we also have the privilege and responsibility to intercede. We can position our hearts in humility before the Lord and seek his mercy and wisdom. Below is the perspective the Lord has placed on Linda’s heart. Please consider joining her and other fellow Wellspringers and citizens, as they bring our nation before the Lord.

(To be very clear, the prayer time will be for the Lord’s direction, wisdom and mercy. This will not be a forum to promote political agendas or attack candidates or our government. I think the Lord already has a much more complete perspective than we do anyway.)

Linda Guite’s invitation:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chron. 7:14
The banner over us is one nation under God. We can all see what’s happening in our country. We have choices. We can ignore it and look the other way, we can live in fear, despair, helpless and hopeless, or we can unite with the Father’s heart and pray. We know where two or more are gathered in his name he will be in our midst. We hear the phrase: if you see something, say something. I wish to say: if you see something, do something – gather and pray. Join us to pray together for our nation. There are no dues, age requirements, special abilities required – just a desire to meet with our king and pray that his kingdom comes here and now to release all God has for this nation.
