What is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministry is a program of Christian care giving for people who need encouragement and support while navigating one of life’s difficult transitions. Whether it is going through a divorce, dealing with the loss of a loved one, a cancer diagnosis or losing a job—there are many situations in life where the support of a Christian caregiver can make a world of difference.
Don’t Miss the Boat! Act Now If You’d Like to Be Part of the Next Stephen Minister Training Class!
Time is running out if you want to be part of Wellspring’s next 50-hour class of Stephen Ministers, being held on Mondays beginning October 21 and lasting until the end of February. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to grow in faith, develop stronger relational skills, and bring Christ’s love into the lives of hurting people.
To be part of this class, you will need to pick up a copy of the Stephen Minister Application from the church office or at the Stephen Ministry table in the cafe after Sunday service on Oct. 6 & Oct. 13. Fill it out and return it to the church office for Pastor Rick or Nancy Riley to review. We will then contact you so that you can learn more about the training and we can learn more about you.
The cost for training materials is $50. If you have any questions, talk to us after services or call either Nancy Riley (860-250-5946) or Pastor Rick (860-225-0661, ext. 111).
