Julie Ozbun

Elder
Since my very first Sunday at Wellspring in 2009, I have always been struck by the tangible presence of God and the wonderful welcome I receive when I walk through our doors. Over the years I have been involved in different ministries including prayer teams, youth leader, leading and attending small groups, and currently on the Missions Board.  In 2016, I went on a trip with Wellspring to Guatemala where my life was turned upside down in the best way possible. The Lord gave me a heart for the nations and I have never been the same. For several years I traveled back and forth to Cyprus, Israel, and beyond as a Wellspring supported missionary while serving a community devoted to discipleship training and outreach.

As a transplant to Connecticut from sunny Southern California, I have grown to love New England (no matter how cold it gets) and believe I have been called here for a purpose. I am passionate about seeing the Lord bring revival to this region and it’s such a joy to be a part of a church that has the same vision. I have a heart for discipleship and to see us grow into the likeness of Jesus and walk in our true identities as we stay hungry for the presence of Jesus. It’s an honor to have been nominated for the role of elder.  I believe this is a pivotal season for Wellspring, and it would be my joy to partner with the Elder Board, pastors, and the congregation to see all that God will lead us into and do in our midst.
