You may know that Celebrate Recovery at Wellspring is a program to help people hurts, habits, and hang-ups. But did you know that there was a children’s program as well?
Celebrate Kids compliments Celebrate Recovery and is for kids 5-13 years old. It initially began as a ministry to provide child care so that adults could attend on Friday nights. Now, it has become so much more: an opportunity for Wellspring to not only help an individual, but minister to an entire family. While adults explore topics that bring healing and wholeness, their kids discover the same truths in age-appropriate ways; a whole family finding freedom and healing together.
Celebrate Kids gives kids…
- Hope for all the amazing things God has in store for them
- Truths that help them overcome life’s challenges by learning to lean on Jesus
- Joy as they embark on a wonderful, year-long journey of songs, games, videos, impactful experiences, and great conversation
- Friendships with other children
Kim Morneault leads this ministry at Wellspring and helps 5-10 kids each week with her team. It is a tough, but rewarding ministry and they could use your help. If you are interested in joining Kim’s team, you can contact her at skmorneault@juno.com (or 860-839-0880 evenings and weekends)
