Emily moved to Connecticut in 2005, expecting to stay just a few years. A decade later, she is still here and is now happy to call Connecticut her home. Originally from Maine, she studied literature at Gordon College before coming to the University of Connecticut to do a Ph.D. in 19th Century American Literature. After being hired as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Residence at UConn, she realized God wanted to use her teaching and writing skills outside the traditional classroom. So she completed her M.Div at Yale Divinity School and is now using her background in writing and literature to oversee the Communications Team at Wellspring.
Emily and her husband Vince live in Tolland, where they enjoy rooting for the UConn Huskies and eating freshly made ice cream at the UConn Dairy Bar.
