An Update from Pastor Wes: Wellspring/Israel

Most of us view Israel in one of two categories: either in our Bible history or as a country in the news today.  Did you know that Wellspring also has significant connections to Israel?

Here are four updates:

1. A report from Pastor Wes and Pam’s trip to Israel this past May.

2. Ariel Blumenthal and family, one of our supported missionaries, will be ministering at Wellspring this coming Sunday August 5th.

3. We will have a reception with the Blumenthal’s this Sunday August 5th at 6 PM. Everyone is welcome to join us for this light reception and casual time of sharing and getting to know the Blumenthal’s.

4. Our good friend Jeff Collins and Pastor Wes will be leading an Israel Tour next spring.

A report from Pastor Wes and Pam’s trip to Israel this past May:

Pam and I were invited to participate in a discussion round table sponsored by Revive Israel that was held in Jerusalem. Hosted by Jewish Messianic believers, this gathering was truly global.  In attendance there were representatives of underground Asian churches, Arab and Palestinian believers, and representatives from many other countries and church backgrounds. Pam and I were privileged to represent Wellspring and the United States.

The primary question before us was, “How can we work together in greater unity as the Body of Christ?”  Throughout the four days of meeting together, we realized that true unity would only come through relationship. That the Lord only has one Body, and growing together in our deep relationship, even love for one another was the foundation necessary if we are to work and walk together. Pam and I were inspired by the men and women of God with whom we were sharing the room and the discussion. We look forward to significant continued relationships and involvement for Wellspring.

While in Israel, we also connected with other personal and ministry friends. The Lord even surprised us with unexpected new friendships. We believe these new connections were orchestrated by the Lord, and we are excited to see what he has in store for us and for Wellspring through them.

Ariel Blumenthal and family, one of our supported missionaries, will be ministering at Wellspring this coming Sunday, August 5th:

Wellspring’s longest standing relationship in Israel has been with Ariel Blumenthal. Ariel is a son of West Hartford, and Pastor Rick and Wellspring had the privilege of getting to know and encourage him in his early years of his faith in the 1990s. Many years ago Ariel moved to Israel to join Revive Israel Ministries and live in Jerusalem. We have supported the Blumenthal’s in our missions budget for many years.

Ariel will be preaching this Sunday morning, August 5th at Wellspring. We welcome him to Wellspring and to the pulpit. Also, we will have a reception with the Blumenthal’s Sunday evening August 5th at 6 PM. At this time, Ariel and his wife Vered will share more about their ministry and their passions. Everyone is welcome to join us for this light reception and casual time of sharing and getting to know the Blumenthal’s.

Our good friend Jeff Collins and Pastor Wes will be leading an Israel Tour next spring:

Jeff Collins has asked me to assist him in leading his next Israel Tour, planned for March 8-18, 2019. We have developed the schedule to highlight the many significant and inspirational places in Israel.  We have also scheduled plenty of time for meaningful experiences and God encounters at the various sites.

You are invited to join us, and take advantage of this opportunity. If you’re interested in learning more or signing up for the trip, here is the link . Note that the trip is being coordinated by a church in Nebraska, so please ignore information about flights from Omaha. You can make your own flight arrangements from here. If you have questions, please contact Pam or me. Also please note the September 1st deposit deadline.
