What is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministry is a new ministry we are launching this fall at Wellspring. It is new to us, but Stephen Ministry has a long track record of over forty years in some 13,000 congregations.
Stephen Ministry is a program of Christian caregiving for people who need encouragement and support while navigating one of life’s difficult transitions. Whether it is going through a divorce, dealing with the loss of a loved one, a cancer diagnosis or losing a job—there are many situations in life where the support of a Christian caregiver can make a world of difference.
If you are interested in learning more about Stephen Ministry—and especially if you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister—you are encouraged to attend an informational meeting to learn what is involved.
You only need to attend one of the following meetings:
Monday, August 20 at 7:00pm.
Monday, September 17 at 7:00pm.
At the meetings, we will lay out the training requirements for becoming a Stephen Minister. We will also be answering any questions about Stephen Ministry. If you have any questions in advance of these meetings, you can call either Pastor Rick (860-225-0661 ext. 111) or Nancy Riley (860-250-5946).
