Host Homes and Meals Needed for Destiny Africa Choir
Destiny Africa has come all the way from Uganda for their 2018 US tour. The group comes from Kampala Children’s Centre, a rescue center for orphaned and abandoned children in Uganda’s capital city. Destiny Africa was formed out of KCC as children found healing through putting their stories to music and singing about where God has brought them from. Wellspring has had the pleasure of supporting this ministry for many years and we now have another opportunity to get involved.
Destiny Africa is on tour through Thanksgiving, sharing their messages of hope and God’s goodness while raising funds to support KCC’s ongoing projects. During this time, they are in need of volunteers to help provide housing and meals or food items. Housing the group consists of taking in several young adults and adult chaperones during their stay in the area and help to provide necessary meals each day depending on their daily schedule. The group is more than happy to assist in cooking and cleaning up and look forward to assisting their host families. Additionally, we are looking for those who may be interested in providing a meal (or meals) when there may be gaps in their schedule or groceries while they are staying in homes on their own. The group is specifically in need of volunteers in early September, October, and early November.
