A Note from Pastor Rick: “Church Is The BEST Place To Be!”

“Church is the BEST place to be!”  This is what one of our parents reported hearing from his daughter a few Sundays ago.

Hearing statements like that always make a pastor’s heart happy.  But I think this young girl is picking up on something that is going on at Wellspring these days.  Olga Calvo, our missionary who serves at the International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City, and who was in worship with us a few weeks ago, remarked to us on the unusually strong presence of God during the service.  This is from a woman who regularly spends time in the atmosphere of 24/7 prayer at the Prayer Room at IHOP.  At our weekly staff prayer time last week our team got caught up in a spirit of thanksgiving for what God is doing in our midst over these past few weeks.

Also over the past several weeks we have seen some adults and teens and one child completely healed of food allergies.  Many great stories of healing!  Stay tuned for more details that are coming.  And in the last few weeks the congregation’s faithful and faith-filled response to our financial need has reduced our deficit from $70,000 to $50,000.  This is a great initial response to the Lord’s invitation of an open door for laying hold of the “Back to the Future” restoration season He has put before us.  I share this to say “Thanks!” and to encourage all of us and to trust that God will close out 2019 with all of our financial obligations met.

All this to say that God is on the move — in, with, and through Wellspring.  So join us!  “Church is the BEST place to be!”

Blessings,

Pastor Rick
