“May Your Kingdom Come” Is Getting Real

“May Your Kingdom Come” is Getting Real! As we work through this teaching series, we continue to get stirred and excited about giving God something to work with. This past Sunday the Lord gave us something to work with!
Here’s Pastor Rick’s inspiring report of Wellspring’s generosity:
“This is a family with a house.” Those are the words that Val Vujs shared with me as we watched so many people coming to the altar this past Sunday, bringing a spontaneous free-will offering to contribute to the building of a home for a family in Guatemala. Earlier in the service, Val had shared a testimony about an encouraging golf outing fund-raiser for the same need. She and her husband carry the Hope of Life ministry in Guatemala in their hearts and have had to endure a hiatus in their connection with those folks, the ministry and the people they touch due to Covid restrictions, hurricanes, and civil unrest in Guatemala. This fund-raiser was a start back to renew the connection.
When Val shared the testimony, I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to give the Wellspring congregation an opportunity to add to the $3000 that had been donated through the golf tournament the day before. It was an opportunity to “give God something to work with,” as we trust him to lead us forward after these past two difficult years of navigating the pandemic and shutdowns.
Well, Wellspring gave—over $4000! That money will round out what is needed for a new home to be built for a family that is currently living in a makeshift dwelling. “This is a family with a house.” Praise the Lord!
And beyond that, this is another example of us giving God something to work with—a Yes; a response of faith; a willingness to partner with God as he leads us forward into a new chapter of ministry at Wellspring.
Blessings, Pastor Rick
This Sunday…
I (Pastor Wes) will continue our teaching series, and we have not just one but many ways for us to partner with God. In the café after the service we will all have a chance to give God something to work with…
Personally – Sign up to be baptized!
At Wellspring – Opportunities to Care for your Wellspring family, and Commit to the Wellspring ministry.
The Hartford Project – Learn more about this annual youth outreach and how you can come along side our youth by serving and/or supporting them as they join this area wide event.
Uganda – Join the many Wellspring members who sponsor children at our partner ministry, Bishop Arnold’s Communities of Hope in Wakiso, Uganda.
The Lord is good and his love endures forever. A delight of being a believer in Jesus is joining him (in prayer and action),
May your Kingdom come!
Pastor Wes
This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you, their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! – 2 Corinthians 9:12-15
