Thank You for all the Christmas Shoebox Gifts
Happy New Year and Lord’s blessings for all the contributions to sending the Shoe box gifts. We are so excited and thankful for the donations. You have made many children happy. You have put a smile on a child’s heart and face. For some, this gift is the only gift they have received.
Perhaps you know that in the weeks before Christmas we had 2 major winter snow storms back to back. We had over 16 inches of snow and lots of drifts. We had a blizzard over a week. Then we had a freeze zone, where temperatures were 45 to 50 below zero. We had an emergency disaster. Most families were snowed in, couldn’t even get dug out. Many were without heat, water, electricity and food. Many families did not have a Christmas. For most, of them this Christmas drive-thru, on December 30, was their Christmas!
We had a little over 500 hundred people come through. Most vehicles had 2 to 3 families in one vehicle. Many of the mothers, fathers and grandparents were there to pickup for their grandchildren. It was a huge success, to see and hear every person how thankful they were. Again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Lord’s blessings.
Sincerely,

Thank you from Wellspring
Thank you Wellspring for your generosity to the Pine Ridge Reservation! Even in these uncertain economic times we were able to bless the children in South Dakota with 214 Christmas shoe boxes. These Christmas gifts make an impact in the lives of children and families who are in great need. Not just materially, but spiritually as you show the love of Christ to strangers.
I also want to send a big thank you to my many helpers this year. Thanks to Luann Davis for manning the table with me each Sunday, helping to organize the project, and carting all those boxes around. And thanks to all the ‘elves’ who helped sort, label, decorate, and fill extra boxes: Jeanne & Bob Magyar, Vicki Bragg, Gladys & Brian Miller, Sandy Grant, Sue & Craig Johnson, Peter & Sue Gruner, and Christina Krampitz.
Sincerely,
Rochelle Buchanan
