Vesper Prayer Services

VESPER PRAYERS – SUNDAYS AT 5:00 PM
“Pastor, how are we to respond? What should we do? What are the next steps?” These are questions that I heard after my two most recent sermons–one having to do with the Sacred Possibilities of revival and awakening; the other about societal patterns of sin that invite the judgment of God.
Repentance and expectant prayer are the main vehicles for response that the people of God have in face of both the reality of impending judgment and the possibility of an outpouring of revival.
As we move into the season of Lenten preparation for celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, I am inviting the congregation to join me for times of prayer on Sunday evenings from 5:00pm – 6:00pm through Palm Sunday, April 2nd. “Vespers” is the traditional word for evening prayer. We will be gathering as a congregation for worship, prayer and communion . . . a Vesper Service. The focus will be upon repenting before the Lord on behalf of ourselves, the church in our country and for our nation. And we will be praying for an outpouring of revival upon ourselves, our church and our land.
We will meet in the sanctuary and pray repentantly and expectantly. I invite you to join me on these upcoming Sunday evenings.
