God encounters were the highlight of the Israel trip, as 17 people joined Pastor Wes for a nine-day tour of the Holy Land. Each day was packed full with 3 to 5 historical, biblical, or modern sites that create the complex landscape of Israel. From Roman ruins to biblical sites, from floating in the Dead Sea to worshiping and interceding at a 24-hour house of prayer, the days exposed us to new sights and new insights. The team often remarked that the trip would give them new perspectives and understanding to passages of Scripture and to news we hear of Israel today.

However, God encounters have already left indelible marks on nearly everyone. Ask anyone about their experience drifting in a small boat on the Sea of Galilee. Ask the women in particular about their special moments at the ruins of the Biblical city of Magdala. The Lord Jesus walked the land and lived amongst the people of the time. In a very small way, we encountered the same Lord, our Lord, on our short but unforgettable pilgrimage.
