We all carry hope with us every day, but many of us also have it hiding out in our attics and basements, cupboards and crawl spaces! Imagine with me the heart of a young mom at Mt. Pleasant who now has the joy of setting a table for her family with a complete set of matching dishes, serving pieces, tea pot and cups given by Sally Luzietti from her mom’s house. Or how about a little “Johnny” who, thanks to his mentor Chris Ann Tufts and Crosscut Ministries, now sleeps in his own bed at night. That act of caring and compassion gave hope not only to Johnny but also to his friend and next door neighbor, “Abraham,” who asked if there was a bed for him and his two younger brothers. So what do you think? Is there a bed for Abraham?

These Kingdom exchanges happen on an individual basis all year long as the need arises and as we are made aware, but twice a year “Big L”, a Sidewalk Sunday School outreach ministry to kids and families in the community of Mt Pleasant, hosts what we call a “Family Share” in the form of a free tag sale. Residents can come and pick up items they need and will use immediately as well as fill out a “wish list” from which God can provide on-going blessings.

Please take a few moments to look around and ask God what items you have that are still in usable condition but are not being used in your home. Perhaps these items can find a home and bring hope to our neighbors at Mt Pleasant. Also, please spread the word with other family members, coworkers, and neighbors who might have items they are willing to donate.

At this time the only thing we ask is: please no clothes.

Thank you as we partner together with our more than able God,
The Big L Team

What to give:
Please consider sharing your blessings in the way of no longer needed items in your attics, basements, closets with our neighbors at Mount Pleasant. NO CLOTHES PLEASE but any other items big or small that are in reasonable condition, clean and still have use are welcome.
