My wife, Linda, and I have been attending Wellspring for the past 16 years. For over 10 years I was involved in Crosscut / Celebrate Mount Pleasant Ministries, where God opened doors to some amazing opportunities to bring His kingdom to the needs of others. My desire for Wellspring is that she continues walking in the gifts and blessings God has bestowed upon this house. Remembering all that the Lord has done, Deuteronomy 4:9, while calling His Kingdom to come, Matthew 6:10. Recently the Lord gave me a picture of a fruit tree with its lower and easily picked fruit harvested, while the top was loaded with fruit, waiting to be picked. Climbing out on these branches, to reach the fruit will require effort and teamwork. I sensed this is a picture of where Wellspring is at, while personally speaking to me to accept the nomination of an Elder. I would be honored to serve Wellspring as an Elder and excited to see what God has planned for this Time, Place and People.
Forty-two years ago I married my best friend and our love continues to grow for each other. We have two beautiful daughters, Amy and Sarah, along with two sons-in-law, John and Dave. We have 3 grandchildren, Matthew and Brianna, with # 3, a girl, arriving this spring. In May of 2020, Covid pushed me into retirement after a career in Information Technology. Now I have returned to what I love and have the time to pursue my hobby of woodworking. Spending hours in the basement, being creative and making piles of sawdust brings such joy. I learned woodworking from my dad and often ponder Jesus working alongside his dad learning his trade. Yes, both his earthly and heavenly dad. It’s my desire to see the men of Wellspring walking alongside each other, steadying the ladder as another reaches for the fruit.
