Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday is a sacred observance of Holy Communion during Holy Week.  The word "maundy" comes from the Latin and is from the same root as our English word, "mandate."  Jesus instructs or "mandates" his followers to partake of Holy Communion.  We do so in remembrance of Jesus and his suffering and death on the cross for our salvation.  Maundy Thursday service at Wellspring is a solemn service of remembrance of Jesus' passion and we partake of the elements of the communion table, remembering all that Christ has done for us.  Please join us on Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 PM for a service of readings, song and Holy Communion as we observe this holiest week of the church calendar and prepare for Resurrection Sunday!
