Wellspring Church’s Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one caring lay ministry that brings Christ’s healing love to people struggling through difficult times. Our lay caregivers are equipped and empowered to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people challenged by everything from illness and grief to loneliness and job loss.
Our Stephen ministers are members of our congregation who have been carefully selected to serve in this role because of his or her care giving gifts. They have been provided with 50 hours of training in providing high-quality, distinctively Christian Care. Each one is a caring Christian friend who listens, cares, prays, supports, and encourages. They meet faithfully each week with their care receiver for as long as there’s a need.
