Kathie Minerly
Elder
“My name is Kathie Minerly. My husband, Chris, and I have been baptized members of Wellspring Church for over 27 years. We live in Farmington and have four children who have grown up attending Wellspring, and all were baptized at Wellspring also. Throughout those years, I have volunteered in many ways, most actively and continuously in Go Fish. I’ve also been a member of several life groups, and I was on staff part-time for about three years as an assistant to Dawn Speer, Children’s Ministry Director. I am currently a member of a life group, a regular Go Fish teacher and am a Wellspring of Hope mentor at Lincoln School. Outside of Wellspring, I work as an elementary school paraprofessional in Farmington.
While being an elder wasn’t a position I had foreseen for myself, I am humbled to be nominated and have carefully and prayerfully considered it. I believe the Lord has spoken to my spirit about it a few times, most clearly when we were studying Isaiah 43:18-19, particularly verse 19: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” I believe that is a corporate word for Wellspring, but also for me personally. I am in a new season and I believe the Lord is calling me to serve Him now by serving Wellspring in an Elder position.”
