Rick McKinniss - Jesus Has an Encounter with Encouragement

In Mark 9, in a passage that is traditionally known as the Mount of Transfiguration, Jesus encounters Elijah, Moses and the Father. What is the occasion of this encounter? Jesus is now heading toward the cross and he receives great encouragement in this reassuring appointment atop a very high mountain.
