Two key words describe "church" in the New Testament. One is "ekklesia," which is the more common word and speaks of the structure or organization of church. The other is "koinonia," which means "fellowship" or our shared life together. To "live the Sacred Us" means that we focus first upon koinonia and allow church organization to serve the common life. This teaching explains how this pattern developed in the life of the early church and the implications for the Christ follower today.
